The Cosmic ceremonies are preformed on the beach , combining all four elements of nature, guided by the energy field created by all the archaeological sites surrounding the area, add to the love and commitment of the couple making this a unique experience for all of those present. No translator needed, the ceremony is in English.
Mayan Ceremonies are performed by an authentic Mayan Xaman (Priest), half in Mayan and half in Spanish, and someone who translates to English, involve everybody in an atmosphere of love, pureness and respect for the creation. The Xaman asks for permission to the cosmos and nature, to join those 2 lives under Mayan traditions. Barefoot and dressed in white natural fabrics finalize the ceremony in a cenote (sinkhole), a sacred place for the Mayans where by immersing themselves in the water the bride and groom finalize their purification ritual of both souls and bodies, ready to encounter a new life together. The visit to the cenote is optional.(Maximum of 4 people including bride and groom).
Symbolic Ceremony, performed on the beach or wherever you choose, it is an intimate and unique ceremony, you are asked to send personal information regarding where you met, what you love about each other, hobbies you share, and with this information a magical and very personal Ceremony takes place. At the end, you are given a beautiful document with your names as well as your witnesses’ names, that you sign and keep to remember this special day. This ceremony has no legal validity. No translator needed.
Civil Weddings, are the only Weddings that can legally change your marital status. The Judge performs his ceremonies on the beach and gives you a legal document (Marriage license) that validates your legal marital status. Translator to English needed.
Christian (non Denominational) Ceremony is performed by a Christian Pastor, approximate duration 1 hour, with readings from the Bible. No certificate is handed. No papers needed. No documents required
Catholic Ceremony: The Catholic Church does not allow their Priests to perform weddings outside of the Churches , there is a large Catholic Church in Tulum down town, and the reception is then held at the Restaurant. Translator to English needed Duration, 1 hour. About 10 minutes from the Church to Ana y José. You need certificate of baptism (or Catholic Confirmation) Cost varies, please request if you are interested.
